Install a translation app and Kakao Map before arrival. Google Maps works poorly for directions in Korea, and translation helps communication with the reception.

Walk to Cheonjiyeon Waterfall in the evening. The gorge is lit at night, and after dinner at Olle Market it makes a peaceful walk.

Plan a Hallasan hike early in the morning. Trails have entry cut off times, and some routes require reservations in advance. Check conditions with staff the day before.

Try Jeju black pork at one of the restaurants near the market, grilled at the table with garlic and salted fish sauce. It is the island's signature dish.

Use the free laundry before long walks on the Olle trails. Washing and drying clothes at the hotel keeps luggage light.

Avoid driving into the market area in the evening. Parking is scarce, and the hotel is close enough to walk.

Watch sunset from the rooftop garden. The view over Seogwipo port and the islands is one of the best free experiences of the stay.
